Frozen 2013

I have to say that I am a little disappointed. I was expecting something different, less predictable since I already knew everything that was to come ahead. There's a lot of other animation films with the same elements used in Frozen, you just change the characters and the places and you have the same story and the same twists all over again.

Well, I don't say it's entirely bad it has good things. Despite the poor storyline, visually this film is very beautiful to look at. The swon is very well crafted, especially Elsa's frozen castle. I loved the little trolls, they were super cute! I would like to have seen more of them. Other one of my favorite moments of the film, near the end (and not to spoil anything) it's the "melting" moment that was lovely.

Overall it's a sweet films with likable characters and nice songs but the story has ups and downs and a rushed ending.

I realise your review is 6 months old now, and perhaps your mind has changed since... But really, what were you expecting from a Disney movie? We're not talking Oscar winning calibre movies here, we're talking kids movies.

And on that note, I think this movie deviates quite heavily from the normal Disney message... The same story? How many other Disney stories involve an act of true love being one between sisters? That has to be the most powerful message they've ever attempted to deliver. Slightly more than just a melting moment.

If you found this movie disappointing then perhaps you need to watch some movies that are directed at adults.

No, my mind has not changed about it. About the Oscar winning calibre, this won an Oscar for best animation. From all the nominees I only saw this and Ernest and Célestine which I think it was better than Frozen.

I don't expect much from a Disney film, after all they are made for children but that is very much used as an excuse for the lack of originality.

I have a very eclectic taste, I watch any kind of films. I am an adult and I like animation films that are directed for children too. Finding Nemo and Ratatouille for example are in my list of favorites among others.

I am sorry if you don't agree with me. I always respect others opinions and I know a lot of people that loved Frozen and I understand that and I know I am a part of a minority.
