Well, I must say. I find this show pretty entertaining but this is the second time so far I am really let down by the story.
First it was the Alpha pack that kind of finished poorly, like are they ever coming back or what ? Wasn't there whole point to get Scott to join them or to eliminate him as they perceived him as a threat ? Were we supposed to consider Scott not attacking them at all as evidence that he wasn't anymore perceived by the 'Alpha of Alphas' as a threat but just as too much bother to kill ?
Second, this whole Kate coming back. Never explained what she actually was and she didn't do anything for the first ten episodes except fail miserably at finding clues about the Benefactor and killing key witnesses for Scott's team. Also, the whole point of the Kate-Peter alliance ended up being what ? Peter gives Kate knowledge about how to turn Scott into a berseker so that he could be killed and one of the werewolves could be the Alpha so that he could kill that one in turn to become an alpha again ? I suppose that's not the worst plan even but being 'surprised' by Chris Argent in the sewer just backfired. He had no fallback, this guy who apparently survived death by bitting Lydia, witch I've got to admit was pretty cool.

Not sure where the story is going to take us next season with that whole Eichen House prison/asylym for supernaturals, especially since the vet/druide (Deaton) knows about it. Honnestly, he doesn't seem to be teaching anything to Scott, a 'true-Alpha', isn't that supposed to be his role ? Or maybe it's just so hectic that he hasn't really taken the time and instead just ends up patching people up and giving on the day advice ?

Oh well, Malia is such an interesting character and isn't being that badly written honnestly and I'm looking forward to seing more of her and the secrets about her parentage more explored (maybe that's the reason the writter's are keeping Peter alive ?).
