Teen Wolf

Season 5

Honnestly, I don't understand this series. There are maybe four different plots ? They don't come together too nicely. Makes me a bit think of that whoel idea of subverting expectations in the last season of GoT. You need see the patern so that when you have a revelation it doesn't just appear out of thin air with no sense as to how it happened (except completely off-screen). Also, this show has a way of abandoning characters without a real end to their story witch is a bit of a shame. A simple mention sometimes is all it needs like for Jackson moving to London because he is a teenager and his dad decided to send him there. I mean, did they even mention Isaac ever again for exemple ? or Derek, because I'm pretty sure he left to be with Braeden who shows up for quite some time in Beacon Hills, despite not having that much screen-time...
This isn't a great show but I've found it pretty entertaining with some nice story telling but this season was a complete mess. Was it even the same writters at all ?
And Deaton, my favourite adult character of the story is so underused in my opinion. Maybe the actor is just not availlable enough ? But seriously, even more than the Argents, he seems to have a great story, witch could honnestly if they wanted be some basis for a cheap spin-off that I would watch.

And, as much as I kind of liked Deucalion coming back, I remember again being dissapointed by how the Alpha Pack was wrapped up as a 'well okay then so i guess we didn't get what we wanted but we're leaving despite showing we could easily kill you in a pack-fight'. Without giving away the plot, I'd say that wasn't brought up at all. Most likely because despite 20 episodes they seemed to lack time in the end. The first half of the season was probably much too slow I guess.

Well, this ended up being a rant lol
