The Operative 2019

Serious question ahead.

But first, the differences between Rachel the female operative and Jason Bourne / 007?

- Rachel betrays her oath because she falls in love
- Crashes her car when distracted
- Gets raped
- Gets an abortion which blows her cover and costs her handler his job

Now the question: is this film God awful sexist or am I reaching?

Please feel free to leave your answer in the comments!

@saint-pauly you're completely out of touch for reading the movie as sexist. There might be an argument to say there is sexism in the field of work, but the movie definitely isn't about that and does not even tell that story, at most it just uses that to tell a story, and if you want to force that reading that has nothing to do with the movie you should have at least picked another more realistic movie, not those two that have no interest in telling a "truish" story. You are projecting yourself and your beliefs in the movie without anywhere to hold yourself onto from what the movie was.

@aerinx Lol, you cannot tell me I didn't see what I saw.

@saint-pauly how do these differences make the film sexist?

@rainertallinnast By saying that because of these differences between women and men, that women are worse than men at espionage.

@saint-pauly but one of them is a random english teacher and the other one is an elite cia assassin
