SEIZURE WARNING: The title screen has some intense shifting between the colors black and white that honestly made me look away from the tv.

While I wouldn't call this film magnificent I really liked it, a lot of moments in it were enjoyable. I really liked seeing Piccolo save Gohan from the beat down he was getting from the Bio-Men, already fueling up the fact that Piccolo was already a better dad than Goku. Twelve seconds later Piccolo is defeated by the film's villain henchmen, I guess it's going to be a trend since it happened in the previous film as well. We get to see Master Roshi battle for the first time since the original series, unfortunately he doesn't fight for long which is such a grand shame. The way Goku defeats the first henchman he fights is quite brutal, like something you might see in Mortal Kombat, no blood though. The fact that Goku was saved by Krillin and Gohan gives it a plus in my book since it at least tries to make an attempt to give someone who's not Goku some time in the spotlight, though unfortunately they get taken out seconds later -_- . I'll always act like a fanboy whenever I see Goku and Piccolo fight since it takes me back to my favorite fight in the franchise. While it definitely has a Z feel it still has some of the adventure charm that the original Dragon Ball was great for. OH and Krillin has one of the funniest moments in the entire franchise in this film.

The villains' henchmen are just as bland as they were in the first film, without any real personality. The main villains Dr. Kochin and Dr. Wheelo are rather bland. Just typical clichéd Mad Scientists villains, nothing too special. The best things I can say about Dr. Kochin is his surprise attack on Krillin had me laughing and I liked how much his voice actor, Troy Baker, is enjoying the role, he really hams it up in a lot of scenes. Dr. Wheelo while bland impressed me in the final battle seeing how he withstood 3 simultaneous Kamehameha waves, and survived another from a Kaioken Goku. But that's about all I can say about these guys, nothing special but not terrible.

The strangest thing in this film is definitely Gohan's schoolgirl crush dream that he has for Piccolo, it just left me baffled...
