The baby is: a doll turned into a real baby? Leanne's baby? Someone else's baby? The dead Jericho resurrected by Leanne (like the dog)?
It's like nothing happens, every episode Dorothy goes to work, Leanne takes care of the "baby", Sean cooks something, Julian visits to conspire with Sean and they have dinners

May I recommend binging the entire series in one go? I did and I never felt the monotony you mention. When it’s there its purpose is to impose a false and uncomfortable sense of "normal life" over what is clearly a very abnormal situation within the house. It begins with the denial of the baby’s death which Dorothy (and her loved ones) seem to do so well. Until the cracks start to show.
