The best 1-hour pilot I’ve seen in almost 10 years.
Except a few stereotyped characters (which reminded me of Glee, and not in a good way), everything was brilliant. Amazing actors. Amazing music. Predictable plot but Jane Levy is so perfect in that role that I completely forgot What/If (and that’s a good thing).
What concerns me is that one month gap between the pilot and the second episode. That is how you kill a show. This time gap and complete lack of promotion is how we lost gems like Firefly in the past.
I do not want this show to end. Television needs this. For once we don’t have a procedural, a reboot/remake or a SJW superhero show (looking at you, the CW). NBC has just lost The Good Place. They shouldn’t lose this show as well.
Oh. And best moment of the show: True Colors. Hands down.
