Guns Akimbo 2020

Guns Akimbo is like relaxing into a recliner but a siren blares whenever you start to get comfortable. In this case, the film is the easy chair and the alarm is every time you remember the director attacks people of color and women online.

Too bad, really, because Samara Weaving's streak of kick ass performances and Daniel Radcliffe's prowess in physical roles (Swiss Army Man, anybody?) are overshadowed by a filmmaker who can't keep his shit to himself.

@saint-pauly why would you even push play then moron lol

@mr-sackamano Uh, to watch the movie, boomer.

@saint-pauly do you honestly care so much about other peoples online antics so much that it would take you out of the movie because you're caring about the director rather than the film? Must be sad being you, seeing as most of Hollywood is filled with horrible people.

@zenophyx Yep, I honestly do care about other people, and you're right, I can't enjoy a Polanski film, a Woody Allen film, and have issues with far right directors who are very vocal about their political opinions. In short, I'm one of those people who can't separate art from the artist. But that's my nature and I'm afraid people coming at me online isn't going to encourage me to change that. (But, seriously, thank you for not calling me a 'moron' and for leaving me room to reply sincerely. :thumbsup_tone3:)
