The wacky adventures of Red and his friends continue in The Angry Birds Movie 2, a fun animated film that delivers a lot of laughs. When Bird and Pig islands are attacked by a mysterious enemy they team up in order to save their islands. Most of the original cast returns and give solid performances. And the animation is really well-done; coming up with some interesting new character and set designs. The comedy is also fairly good, striking a nice balance that works for both kids and adults. Still, it’s mainly geared toward younger audiences and follows a rather predictable plot. Yet despite some weaknesses, The Angry Birds Movie 2 is a wildly entertaining film that lives up to (and perhaps is even a little better than) the original.
