Another TikTok recommendation for the books baby...I've been obsessed with the game Among Us lately, so when someone on TikTok said this show was like that I was like "AHAHA,, SAY LESS." But uh,,,,,,YEAH THIS SHOW IS DEFINITELY DIFFERENT. In the sense that, yes I knew it was a show about kids stuck in space with an impostor among them, but the plot goes down this worm hole that I was NOT expecting to go through. I got on this ride thinking it was gonna be a rollercoaster but it was actually a frickin' teacup spinner. Which, I was NOT opposed to.
It's an easy binge at only 12 episodes (first and last are 40 minutes though), but that also means tropes and characterizations are pushed to the point of cheesiness and repetitiveness, BUT (yes I know this is a run-on sentence leave me alone) it actually all balances out with the plot. That's really vague, but I don't want to spoil it;) I loved the direction it went and had fun screaming over-dramatically at every little plot twist, laughing at the ridiculous and almost filler-like comedy/fluff, and aggressively doing TikTok dances when I'd figure things out as the mystery unraveled. Give this one a try if you're looking for something light and fun that teeters just on the edge of being a mindless watch but reels you back with some wack twists.
