I think it is a classically bad episode. It contained the (now typical) foreshadowing that tells you that something really bad is about to happen... When it starts off looking so perfect, and Iris reads from her speech about how great it is - but some people are still skeptical - I knew right off that it would all end in disaster. Well...they really out did themselves. A complete society destroyed in 1 episode (I'm not completely sure, as I've only seen the 1 episode so far).
Are hubris, pessimism, and nihilism the only (poorly written) messages left for the "creative" team to offer?
