Please IGNORE all the pretentious reviewers say “like omg, the original was so wonderful and this just sucks”. It’s the most common annoying trope for no life’s to say how bad a remake is compared to the the original. They feel a sense of loyalty which I get but unless it’s my favorite show of all time I always Judge something on its own merrits. The same people reviewed the US version of The Office the same way, which as any sane person knows is insane. They are very different animals and good for very different reasons.
I loved this adaption of Utopia and is one of the best shows in 2020. Cusak makes a great Villain, Dwight from The Office was awesome, and the story is surprisingly relatable to the current Covid situation. It is perfectly paced, me and my wife could not get enough.
@reythan this one sucks if you compare it to the original and it's mediocre if you do not. The cast is good, the "style" is a matter of taste.. but the script... omg.
