But this show (2nd season specifically) is already severely suffering from a few major issues: 1- There is no real tension in the fights. They're really well done and enjoyable but you know [spoiler]Erin will lose[/spoler] because "plot".... There's no surprise twists in fights, you know who will win.
2- In Shōnen tropes the MC is always the most OP and the sub characters are weaker, but I've never seen it to this extreme. This show has literally devolved to everyone watching Eren fight and lose... No one can do a single thing or even attempt to be helpful in a meaningful way and I feel everyone has just become a side piece and have became so boring to watch. Mikasa's is flat and soulless now, her development has completely stopped - its just "PROTECC EREN".... She and many of the other characters had great development last season but now seem to be completely tossed to the side.
This 2nd season truly lacks any of the plot/character development or depth of the last season that made me feel emotion and even tear up..... I'm at a loss here
