Oliver Cromwell wasn't even in the show (and Henry VIII's reign was more than half a century before his time!). You're thinking of the wrong Cromwell - you're referring to THOMAS Cromwell, who was actually beheaded. That being said, there are plenty of other historical inaccuracies in the show.
@seaniebarry You are mistaken about who "Cromwell" was: it wasn't Oliver Cromwell but Thomas Cromwell who was indeed beheaded.

Liked the series very much, but the historical inaccuracies are shocking! Firstly, Oliver Cromwell wasn't beheaded. The list is endless. Entertaining, but historians won't like it.
