Comfort film material! It has everything you'd want from ridiculous fun horror films, it's intentionally funny, insanely creative, and it completely embraces the absurdity. The premise is bonkers and doesn't really make any sense. You can tell that a lot of heart went in to making this film as it shows on-screen. The puppet villains are both grotesque and adorable, they even kill people in clownish ways. The bright color palette used in here really enhances the viewing experience. You also got cheesy yet effective gore, killer practical effects and great soundtrack. The set designs on this are extremely impressive considering the budget. It's amazing how every actor managed to perform so badly. I understand why it's a cult classic now.
