Don't Breathe 2 doesn't have all of the suspense and dread from the first movie. In fact it feels like a totally different movie. It goes from horroresque to action/redemption movie. However...... I couldn't help but enjoy it.
Sure there are plot holes and it's predictable but the kills were inventive and Lang just plays the character so well he can carry it through on his own. The villains were corny and almost cartoonish but if you take it for what it is.... It's an enjoyable ride.
Was this sequel necessary? No. Did it add from the first movie? No. Did I enjoy it anyway. Hell yeah! Knowing what Lang's character has already done in the first movie leaves you in a real dilemma, is he the hero? Or is he the lesser of two evils?
