A good story with lots of great dialogue. Chekov is especially good in this episode. He is by far the most observant member of the crew. Spock might be, but he keeps most things to himself. Chekov is actually doing the right thing and voicing what he observes so everyone knows.

I disagree with the comments of sexism in other reviews. There was nothing sexist in Palamas's character. The key concept of sexism is prejudice or discrimination related to gender. There was absolutely zero prejudice or discrimination towards either gender in this episode. Palamas was simply written as a young woman, nothing more.

I do, however, agree that it is tiresome to have every third episode filled with godlike beings. Now, if there was an overarching story tying all these godlike beings together as members of the same race and describing their downfall, or something along those lines, then it could be interesting. For better or worse, we are in the era predating story arcs and grandiose exposition.
