@funkybuff27 It's the acting and editing. A bunch of the actors just straight up aren't very good. They say the lines in very flat monotone ways with little emotion, and the dialogue moves/is edited to move so quickly that the good actors don't have the time to show any emotion. It just makes the whole thing come across as a bit shallow and amateurish when the dialogue its self isn't that bad.
It also doesn't help that so many of the characters have such similar voices.

Can't tell if it's the writing/acting/both but jesus christ the dialogue is so bad. Almost every time they speak I have a headache.
