Emily has a short fling with a semantics professor she meets in a cafe (though I guess their romance was shown in a too graphic way) and then splits with him when he turns out to be to snobbish. At the beginning of the episode, she loses her company a new contract with a fashion designer who hates her accessory, but Emily manages to regain this client within the scope of the episode (it seems they both like the Gossip Girl show). This is rather unrealistic but on the other hand, realism is not what is expected from the show of this type so this is not really a problem. I liked how Emily encouraged her best friend to start singing again after her childhood trauma.
