Maybe I was just in the mood, but I sort of enjoyed this even though it's not a very good movie. Ken Russell directed so the fact that the dream/trance sequences in this movie reminded me a lot of the ones he directed in "Altered States" eight years earlier, is not coincidental.

I think it's funny how "edgy" directors, artists, celebrities think they are when they make fun of Christianity. They know that they are taking absolutely zero risk but that they will be praised by adoring secularists for being brave or some such thing. In the case of "The Lair of the White Worm" though, whatever message it was trying to relay was muddled and silly.
