Pretty basic story with a pretty recognizable Canadian cast. The story would have benefited from depth in the dynamics between the characters. The villain and hero were written pretty black and white. The mother and son relationship was the only relationship with depth so the loss of life of any other characters had no impact leaving the action arc rather hollow.
