BlacKkKlansman 2018

It's an okay-ish movie. The topic was and of course is still very relevant but the movie is kind of boring. It's not even funny although the whole premise of a black cop undercover among white supremacists screams "comedy". The movie is cliche packed (regarding all parties involved) and doesn't quite convey the "groove" of the 70s. Do the right Thing is probably Lee's better work. Most of the movie isn't inspiring or educational - not even very entertaining. It gets better when Duke comes into town. After this point the story picks up speed. The last 10 minutes seem like they were simply attached to the already finished movie, but they are perhaps the necessary reminder that this is not pure fiction.
