Not bad by any means, but definitely one of the most overrated shows that I hear people talking about/recommending. It has a lot of style, and the production value and direction is all wonderful, but it really does lack in real substance. The vast majority of characters are flat and one-dimensional, and the plots aren't all that great either. Each season just feels like more of the same... except not as good as the previous season. It's almost like a juvenile version of something like Boardwalk Empire. Again, it's not a bad show by any means, and I'd go as far as to say it's good, and sometimes even great - but it's a longshot from being ranked even close to the best shows of all time.
