Meh: Totally skippable, but with some laughs and enjoyable scenes. I'd suggest to skip from the scene in the library with the news about Principal Flutie, to the showdown at the hyena exhibit, but really even that's superfluous. The epilogue is the good bit, though, and only depends upon everything up to the aforementioned library scene.

Cordelia doesn't appear in this episode. Nicholas Brendan gives us a taste of what a dark and predatory "bad boy" Xander could have been, and, for the extent of the piercing stares and strutting, he's actually pretty hot. He's also an asshole, and the hyena antics are just cringe TV-- thus the D-Grade plot. But Sarah is still scrumptiously cute as buttons for the discovery phase of the plot, and the last scene is a really cute moment for the quartet.

Also, there's Giles' iconic line: "Testosterone is the great equalizer; it turns all men into morons." All the better for being so pithy for the scene, while also being immediately subverted. Even in the show's pratfalls there are gems scattered among the refuse.
