I tried this in 2011, watched the first episode and gave it up. When I tried it again, I could get over the kinda gratuitous nudity and violence (gratuitous for people that like naked women, ugh) and appreciate the plot. To be honest, the anime is no where near as good as the manga, and the ending is way different too. I gave up the anime halfway and switched to reading the manga. I was not disappointed.
