Excuse me as I review this with a resounding mehhh. I'm a huge fan of the game franchise (first 3) and even have come to recognise the films as their own unique 'hot people with guns and great music' fest but I can't understand why we can't make a good adaptation of this amazing IP! We've got some great characters in the original STARS team and the others from Resi 2 and 3. I would literally watch those games acted on screen happily. I appreciate that it's not exactly the same tired lines that The Walking Dead has run into the ground. It's okay they're doing flashbacks to fill in the past but it's all so fucking poor!
The dialogue is painful and I literally don't give a shit about any of them. I've loved Lance Reddick in his previous roles but he's not nearly as bastardy enough to be Wesker. They've whacked some kids into the mix and potentially they're implying that the events we know from the games have happened? (I.e. NEW Raccoon city and the zombie dogs we know and love).
Obviously I'll see it through but this does not bode well at all.
