A frustrating episode, but that's because it's a good depiction of how the intricacies of the US legal system can really tie people's hands. In both the previous Closure episode and this one, everyone (eventually) knew that Cleary was the rapist, but they just never had the correct angle of attack that wasn't blocked. From a moral perspective, it's incredibly frustrating that Cleary was able to keep worming his way out of punishment due to legal crap. On the other side of the coin, the thought of being hounded by cops like he was is a somewhat terrifying thought. Yes, in this case he deserved it and more, but there's a fine line there. I'm a bit surprised that didn't end up becoming a larger problem by him complaining about it or whatever.
The thing about identifying by voice that makes no sense to me: what's stopping the perp from just using a slightly different voice to throw off the victim trying to identify him?
