No. The moment the victim's family said he was abusive toward her, which is not something he ever mentioned in his version of events, not even to express regret, I knew that this guy was full of shit. You're already in prison for the rest of your life, if there's ever a time to admit your wrongdoings and just be honest with yourself, that would be it.
