When Daniel tells Chozen that he’s not in the mood for platitudes right now, I knew this episode was going to be good. Sometimes I feel the writers use the cheap tactic of stringing the viewers along for far too long with some silly conflict that takes forever to resolve: Daniel/Johnny constantly breaking up & making up in S4; Amanda’s repeated mistrust & disappointment in Daniel. It just gets tiresome. But because of the unashamed cheesy nature of the show and the way it’s pulled off, it always wins me over in the “feel good” department. Glad to see that the Miguel/Robby arc played out with class. Hopefully they don’t rinse & repeat this process again because characters need to move on.
