I like the idea that these people who try to fight against the witch fail, because this is something supernatural and unknown, and the witch is powerful. But when you have them completely fail and they're just wandering around scared, then it gets boring.
Why throw in an affair at the last minute? Stupid.
I liked in a previous episode when they utilized passages from the book. Why didn't they continue to do that? Use clues from the book in order to defeat her, or something. Especially since the books and writing have been given so much importance in the story. Instead, the show would rather do melodrama.
