@drnkmnky 5 years ago, I thought exactly same think. But after rewatching this film about 5 times, finally I understand what is the logic behind of this film. My only advice is that read a lot of sci-fi books. Then you realize this is a real philosophical and also "not of its age" type film.
@drnkmnky Which cut did you watch? The Final Cut (2007) is my favourite, that I'd rate at an easy nine out of ten. However, the Original theatrical cut from 1982 would struggle to get a six out of ten from me.

@krimbuskreme I do not know from where you get your "intel" from, but you're wrong! Additionally I think it's considered good manners to state one's own opinion and reasoning if criticizing someone else's. You do neither. So, please, let us know what you like about blade runner and why.
@mex5150 I watched the 1982 cut and I am happy to know that there are others who would rate it as mediocre or less as well. Perhaps I will give the 2007 cut another chance...

@drnkmnky You have to watch it at least twice, then you will understand it better.
When watching blade runner for the 1st time, I also had no clue, what's going on.
But if you watch it again you will find out that it is a master piece.

@drnkmnky this film is 40 years old, mind-blowing for the time, every sci-fi film since has built off it, you cannot watch modern day sci-fi and just think a movie from 40 years ago is going to be amazing, set your expectations as if you are watching it in the era that it was released.

One of the worst and most hyped films I've ever seen. I absolutely don't get what this flick wants to tell me.
Besides that, it is neither thrilling nor entertaining, so I can only hope that there is a message and deeper meaning to it that I just don't get... However, I would recommend to stay away from it if you expect a SciFi thriller because I know for sure that Blade Runner is not thrilling at all.
