Why the hell is Leanor still alive? He died in the book, end of story.

@felixgotrek The book is put together from a selection of fictional "sources". Unlike the SOIAF series, Fire & Blood is a historical presentation. I suspect that one of the reasons GRRM went for that approach was that it left loads of questions, unclear or flagrantly untrue POVs and suppositions and allowed the TV show that would follow it to then answer, providing surprises for both readers and non-readers. This is one of those things that wouldn't be in the book purely because everyone thinks he's dead!

@tiefling Yeah, but it was never a question in there that he is dead or not. The only question was: for what reason? And he was stabbed in the market right in front of everybody. They werent alone and there was no fire to destroy the body.
It was also totally out of character just to leave and let his family to mourn him right after HIS SISTER DIED.
So i still think that it was a stupid change.

@felixgotrek yep came here to check for this. This is quite a difference from the original story, we'll see if Laenor appears again and how is used.
