The latest movie had cheesy old school RES charm, so I figured this would be along the same vein... nope, it's just bad, not horrible, just failed remake, alternate universe bad.
That said, I'm still going to finish the series because it's only eight episodes and I rarely quit a show/movie once I've started (it's a legitimate problem). Hoping it gets better, or at least helps me to sleep.
