Up to this point I was going to say some nice things about the show but this episode was such a let down. There was many great changes, the story is almost entirely different now, but it felt like this ep was depicting one of my favorite scenes from the series, where I became in love with Rose but it was such a let down. From the moment when Dimitri came to help which wasn't in the books, to the accidental killing of Strigoi by Rose. It was a parody of a really emotional scene. In books Christian was forced to feed on Rose which on top of the rumors about her being Blood Whore (which was a very bog thing, entirely removed from the show) and her hating how good it feels was extra emotional. To the Strigoi who talked, who did so much emotional damage by keeping them hostage to be then killed by Rose on her own.... Wow, I still remember how it felt to read it after so many years. I thought the show would be even darker than the books bc characters seem to be made older (legally drinking) but it's really a lot lighthearted. Victor and Mia aren't as bad, Jesse is just a pick, bad with words nothing more. So it's half of the season and there isn't a big bad yet. Idk where this is going, it's a mess and I feel like there is no plan for any of the characters. Everything keeps changing, decision and relations which makes it superficial to say the least.

One big plus for the show is than I like many more characters than Christian and Rose as it was in the books. Probably bc ALL characters are really LESS than their originals.
