The incisive dialog in the first two acts touches on universal themes such as aging, beauty and relationships both intimate and familial. And sex. Lots of sex. Like Twitter sex, where everybody is talking about it but nobody is doing it.
Unfortunately, the 3rd act implodes with inconsequential flourishes that lead us down the tired road of convention we saw coming a mile away.
Still, Emma Thompson is stunning, Daryl McCormack is ferociously handsome and both so deftly deal with the dialog that the film ends up as an equivocal recommend.
