Much like the first one…but different. The "fight" scene between Alice (Milla Jovovich) and Nemesis (Matthew G. Taylor) could have been an outstanding scene but (IMO) was filmed so poorly that it was extremely anticlimatic. It was next to impossible to discern anything that was happening, so there you go: the biggest scene in the movie was probably the lousiest. Apart from that (and, of course, the introduction of Nemesis) there really wasn't that much difference between this one and the original Resident Evil film. This just felt (to me) like more backstory to whatever's coming in the next movie...or the one after that…or the one after that…or the one after that…(in the voice of Lord Farquaad in Shrek ) "and so on and so forth."
I'm hoping the franchise gets better, i.e. a deeper storyline starts to develop. I'd hate to watch the original Resident Evil with ten different titles.
