I really dig this. Even though the plot itself doesn't feel particularly intricate or special, the show has some interesting ways of getting things where they need to go. Unfortunately, some of the writing (please note that I'm watching the English dub) is comical in a way that, while hilarious, undercuts some of the emotional gravity of the events, and makes me chortle when I really want to take the show seriously.
