Just watched the first three episodes, but so far I'm loving this series. It brings an emotional side to the zombie apocalypse genre in a very lovely and impactful way. Episode three is one of the best episodes of television ever, pretty much up there with Castle Rock's Season 1 episode 7 "The Queen". Very powerful mini story with wonderful acting.

EDIT AFTER THE END OF THE SEASON:
I'm staying by my initial reaction - this show is really worth watching. It's visceral, emotional and most of all - human. Highly recommend.

@almakarlin I found ep 3 a boring and pointless woke filler ep. That if you happen to miss watching completely won't have any affect on the show as a whole. Pointless bang the woke drum ep IMO.

@darkness Yeah that's what a filler is, and episode that can be skipped and the show would still make sense, but it's there to add onto existing characters. It's not just some woke crap either, it's based on the source material, the 2 had a relationship in the game but it just didn't get any attention, if anything it was a way better ending to both characters than in the game, Bill was just a crazy survivalist dude and that was all the depth to him, the only bit of emotion we got was when Joel tried to give him Frank's letter after his suicide, but even then he was stubborn and threw the note away without even reading it.
