@great_vc great observation. I'm thinking he's probably not alone, could very well be a trap. Or at this point I wouldn't even be surprised if the old guy has telekinesis abilities, wouldn't be the weirdest thing we've seen.
There's also the guy who answered the radio in the season 1 finale, he's out there. Probably a villain from what he said.

I was waiting for its return. Very light return expected more. Sure it opened new ideas with that boy but i really cannot understand the rope how on earth did that guy chained on the wall managed to through a rope to the well
