The way I remember the first season is that it was too much in love with its own high concept to create detph and care about the characters (like Dark, with the same perpetuallity but much more shorter and easier to understand), and this one seems to be the opposite of that. Did it work in the long run? Who knows! Rosa Salazar was rebellious and cocky in a way I didn't remember and she was fun! Season one walked a fine line between mental illness and sci-fi that even if you knew which is which, still left a nicely ambigous ending and this one is like, "Okay, you were right. But what's next?" There seems to be less explaining and more family stuff to explore and I like that so far.
