What a strange strange movie to stumble across and not be allowed to leave because my sister said I couldn't go and leave her to finish it by herself. The casting is quite frankly amazing.
Alright so I watched the whole thing from start to finished now (11/2023). After Werewolves Within I kinda had to see something else with Milana who I swore looked familiar and yeah it was because of this.
Having seen the whole movie it's... well it's bog standard. The casting is athletically interesting but the movie is a simple slacker's tale. Slacker does bad things because slacker. Slacker reaches breaking point. Slacker need to change ways. Slacker changes ways. The end.
It's part of the plot of Encino Man. It's literally the plot of No Hard Feelings. There's an entire subgenre of this dedicated to the slacker being a college student (Van Wilder, PCU, Real Genius, Back to School, Old School). What does this one bring to the table? Nothing in particular. A cast of names that are fun to watch. A lead that's more than just easy on the eyes. A surprising [Not everyone gets a happy ending] ending. Nothing crazy. It's perfectly find to watch on TV while you just want to chill out.
