Seriously, what is with this series and basking in homophobia, to the point where this episode climactically ends with Dante being forced to falsely claim that he's gay to prevent a bomb from dropping on the town, which is played as a big act of public humiliation that people either incorrectly do their best to cheer on, or those in the know have a big laugh at his expense, and even his parents burst into tears. This is beyond doubling down at this point. It feels like a button they're specifically fixated on, and I'm very trepidatious at rediscovering where things go from here.

Otherwise, it's largely a blast of an episode, doing an effective spoof of Outbreak when Randal mixes up a local monkey for sale with the effects caused by his neglect of rotten burritos, and the government is called in for a full quarantine. The celebrity cameos are wonderful, with even that bastard James Woods sounding like he's having a fun time, plus Dana Gould, Mike McShane, Al Franken, and even Bryan Cranston! Not to mention our second appearance of Gilbert Gottfried, this time as a chipper yet down on his luck Patrick Swayze. The escalation of the public disaster is well played, and I like the return of Leonardo Leonardo, especially how easily he's conned into hording and consuming the rotten burritos. His assistant Mr Plug also gets some great gags revealing he's really a killer robot. Less successful is the entire gag of Jay & Silent Bob buying a monkey just so they can teach it how to smoke, which never feels like it goes anywhere interesting, and the end gag of Jay & Silent Bob beating the crap out of Charles Barkley, which is just feeling too randomly mean at this point. And I'm on the fence about their satire of Lando, a new "black friend" added to the show to increase diversity, even as it's just for walk on moments or to be interrupted.
