The Witcher

Season 3

Since the first season of this show, only few episode "respected" the books.. I still watched the show as I really like Henry Cavill, but... Honestly.. What's wrong Netflix? Despite Geralt, what is this awful cast?!! Is it possible to make it worst? And still pretend to be "The Witcher"?
So, if you liked the books, this serie is not for you. If you liked the games, this serie is not for you. End. (and, by the way, Netflix subscription cancelled linked to this)

@sni3rs I liked the games and like the series, but I'm not opposed to things being interpreted differently or even changed. Sometimes its needed to adapt it to a different medium and sometimes it's because creatives do be creative. There are adaptions I don't like, but then I still have the books and will just ignore the adaption (worst for me was the adaption of the Darren Shan books to the Cirque du Freak movie :/ ). So I get it, but don't speak for everyone. I love many actors on the cast, even if they're not a perfect resemblance of the book descriptions or the game representation.

@yoknome You make a valid point about the show's creative freedom to interpret the books. However, one of my main concerns with the show is the inclusion of unnecessary elements that don't contribute to the overall story, as well as the rushed pacing of the main storyline. For example, Ciri suddenly showcases great fighting skills in one scene, but there's no prior depiction of the training she should have undergone at Kaer Morhen. In the books, her strength at that level is achieved after her experiences in the Nilfgaard territories, which is inconsistent with the show's portrayal.

While the second season introduced a new story with some elements from the books, the current attempt to return to the source material feels disjointed due to the excessive inclusion of unnecessary subplots. Additionally, I find it puzzling why they decided to make Jaskier bisexual, considering that his character was portrayed as primarily heterosexual in the series. It's possible that they introduced this change too late in the story to properly address inclusivity or simply added it to fulfill a checkbox on their agenda. Furthermore, the casting of Fringilla Vigo also seems off, as she should resemble Yennefer, but the portrayal falls short in capturing that essence.

Overall, I can't help but feel that the TV show leans more towards being a parody rather than a faithful adaptation, and it falls far behind the quality of the Game of Thrones series.

@sni3rs wokeness ruins all shows, the basically took everything terrible about the witcher spinoff and added it here.
