Unbelievably unsatisfying as a season finale and as a season on it's own. How can you screw up so bad when you have:
A great story, a tremendous lead actor and a decent cast of actors overall. Putting Geralt out of commission for far too much time and focussing on Ciri and Yennefer was a massive mistake.

There are only two right decisions. Cancel the show or change the showrunner. They straight up murdered something that had so much potential.

Destroyed by the arrogance and wokeness of Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. Replacing the brilliant writing in the source material with immature sloppy nonsense. Disrespecting all the people who love the franchise and made it great.

@gusanito1886 It's not the wokeness as much as the inability of writers to create a script close to the source material and directors to be faithful, which is why Cavill is exiting.

@revslick it's 100% wokeness. They removed the main actors because "too white" from most of the run time and slotted in literally b-grade background actors as the new leads to make it diverse and hip. The joke here is there is nothing wrong with adding diverse actors, there are prob hundreds of a-grade diverse actors avaliable at any time that are exceptional actors, but instead we get this type of cw level non sense where the actors aren't good enough to act in character or tone.

The studios do it because they save money on actors and get praised for being diverse at the same time. If they actually cared about diversity they would cast good actors. Until this stops we will continue to get cw level productions.

Other networks such as peacock, apple tv, paramount, etc have figured this out and as a result are leading the pack in new highly diverse shows that are exceptional with exceptional actors, such as Twisted Metal, Silo, Foundation, Power Books, From, and many others.

Netflix continues to produce trash cw level IP and now they are ruining existing IP for God knows what reason.

@gusanito1886 I found the last two episodes the best from the season and really good "finale" of the season. (As you note source material, this is the same ending as the book has). It does not redeem for me the stupidities and deviations allowed in season 2 end and start of season 3 though, but at least it was good signal to me that at least in the last two episodes they respected the original story.
