There is so much I loved about this movie. It's mainly much more emotional than I was expecting, making it a perfect balance with the comedy.
For me this movie is about growing up and seeing your children grow up. It reminded me of Boyhood at some point. Ofcourse it's mainly about womanhood and the idea of what it means to be a woman and the struggles along the way. As a guy I can't know what that feels like but the things this movie showed were very similar to things I've heard from my sisters and girlfriend.
So many great actors, seeing Ncuti Gatwa made me so excited for Doctor Who (also funny to see 3 actors from Sex Education) and Will Ferrell was hilarious. Mattel making fun of themselves was also fun.
The music was great, especially "I'm just Ken" with that amazing scene. Billie Eilish's song is very emotional, and it made me almost cry at the end.
And I loved the fourth wall breaking and the movie references!
