Is it me or korean dramas love having a smug character in a lot of their shows. I have just started binge watching some k dramas and i noticed there's always this smug, cool, actin like he/she know-it-all character. It's new to me but it sure gets boring when there's always this character that always acts all tough and shit BUT WAIT they have their bg story to show why they act the way they are but are actually mr/ms softie.
Getting cringey to me, to name a few k dramas that I've watched with those characs: the korean odyssey (Son o gong, the bad cgi paired with his arrogance makes me cringe bad). Uncanny counter - Hana Are you human - Human Nam shin Mystic pop up bar - Weol Ju Sweet home - many characs have that smug attitude, that ballerina, Sang wook etc. The good bad mother - Ha yeong Juvenile justice - Eun seok Of course this current drama - Jang man wol
Like what is with K drama that they ALWAYS have to feature at least one smug charac. I used to ban k dramas coz i dislike how they always scream and shout as if it's good acting. Over the years my aunt kept telling me to give it a shot and now i am trying to give it a chance, so far it's alright but not great. =/
