I do like to gain more insight to the space station's, Odo's, Gararak's, Quark's and Dukat's past. It's sad though that this is a mystery episode. Sadly, it's also a repetition of an earlier episode: Odo's again confronted with a "case" (not sure if that's the right term. In any case it's another security related incident") from his past. The whole background story totally destroys the fun. I can't concentrate on the story since I'm totally puzzled how this time travel/mind manipulation actually works. They were traveling through space and were somehow overpowered by changeling telekinesis of something? (Is that a repetition of the changeling's tech from The Search?) I don't understand what Julian says in the end. I don't understand what happened there. Was that all in Odo's mind or were their minds connected and the lived through the same story? Well, me and them finding out what's happening, is exactly the point of the episode I guess. But as I said, it totally takes away the focus from Odo's story. I question why the whole premise was even necessary. Could they not have just come up with another more plausible pretext for forcing Odo to reexamine the past and confess his mistakes? I don't get it. And eventually it turns out that this episode's only purpose is to convey the idea that Odo isn't flawless and -as he described it- guilty. That's a very underwhelming outcome from this episode. I don't like this episode.
