I'm a big fan of Randy Couture but this wasn't one of his better fights. Keep in mind, at this point Randy is 46 years old; he's still ripped and looks in great shape but this is not a whirlwind match. At times, it gets agonizingly slow and plodding, just two guys rubbing around on each other and you're just itching for it to be over with so you can find out who was the worser of two bad fighters. I also thought that Brandon Vera showed his true colors with his classless attitude after the fight. The fight was nothing to talk about and the bottom line is, Randy pushed Vera around for 15 minutes. Vera landed a few - very few - good shots (and yes, some of them visibly hurt Randy) but ultimately, Randy had his way in this fight. Vera proved to be nothing more than the little strutting banny rooster that he really is. What a crybaby. And even though there were some good fights "on paper", nothing really exciting could be said about this card. Watch the main event if you're just a die-hard Randy Couture fan but there's nothing else worth sitting through here.
