Ah shucks! One more revisit to a tale that has been told and retold a zillion times... a bastard son becomes a reluctant king trying to bring together broken factions, falls in love and learns that his queen betrays him to his friend... so sleeps with his sister, and sires another bastard son who is destined to kill him... in all this he is supported by a person called Merlin, who can be a Mentor, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, General, Magical Wizard, depending on the whim of the person retelling the story... lets hope this rehash, doesn't suck and the network gives it some semblance of an ending, instead of unceremoniously cancelling it like all the other versions.

Edit/Update (21/12/2023)
The adaptation is pretty decent, and as the season progresses, it gets better with every episode... but there is still so many moving parts, which I guess gets covered in Bernard Cornwell's book, which is regarded by many as one of the superior adaptations of the Arthurian Legends, in the recent times... that said, so far, the choices made by the makers have been refreshing, interesting and smart... which brings me back to the same issue I mentioned in my original post... I hope this gets a complete run, where the makers get a chance to tell the story in full, and the networks associated don't cancel it midway.

@chandramohan-kannan In Theory providing they retell the Bernard Cornwell’s Warlord Chronicles verbatim It could be potentially very good. my concern with these modern adaptions is that many many times they make unnecessary changes because the writer or writers that adapt these shows want to put their own "mark" on the show, or they need to "dumb" it down for the modern audience. I wont even begin to think about the role reversals and race changes that are bound to be included, But as this show was instigated by ITVX who optioned all 3 books and then given to Sony's Bad Wolf production I am quietly optimistic for a semi decent show, I'm just hoping that the actors and actresses are covered in dirt and grime as fitting the century, rather than looking like they just stepped out of a shower
