Skylin3s is a thrilling science-fiction adventure films that takes the series in a new direction. Faced with dwindling resources and civil unrest following a war with an invading alien race, the military puts together a mission to recover a fuel source from an uncharted planet. Lindsey Morgan, Rhona Mitra, and Alexander Siddig lead the cast and give solid performances. However, the jump 5 years into the future from the last film (and over the war) is a little jarring and requires a lot of exposition that slows down the pacing. Also, the CGI is rather weak and sticks out from the background in several scenes. Still, the fights scenes are quite good and there are some interesting new creature designs. It’s a different kind of film from the previous two and has some problems, but Skylin3s is an entertaining and fun.
